Aobo grew up in Xi’an China, one of the oldest cities in China. It is the starting point of the Silk Road and home to the Terra-cotta Army of China’s first emperor, Qin Shi Huang. She spent four years in Beijing, studying photography at one of the very best art institutes in China.

She is a girl without a country or state. She has traveled to Europe, North America, South America, and even Antarctica at a young age.

Creating and discovering her path, she chose Detroit as her personal and professional home. From traveling, she has found life is transient and often with sudden changes. She loves traditional Chinese culture, and philosophy but also enjoys experiencing the difference from the West. You could see this fusion in her multi-faceted works.

By exploring photography, graphic design, illustration, and sculpture, an interest in color theory and communication methods permeates all of her work.

Her work has been exhibited at:

POST group exhibition, Wasserman Projects, Detriot, MI;

Experiencing Perspectives 2019-2020 Art Exhibition, Mercedes-Benz Financial Services, Farmington Hills, MI;

Expo Chicago 2017, Chicago, IL;
